90-foot Dock:
The aluminum floating docks were lost after a contracted local service
failed to pull them up on land after the season. In 2000, a new
permanent dock constructed from 2x6 planking secured to a steel-frame
was built by Seaway International (Pat Patch), the premier dock
builder of the 1000 Island area. The dock is fairly well protected
from damage by large ice movement by the rock shelf that extends
further into the river than the dock. The dock provides boat access
even during the lowest water levels, and it is equipped with quality
cleats, protective corner edging, a retractable swim ladder, and
two separate sets of fixtures that can be used interchangeably for
tow pairs of removable mooring whips. A marine railway is located
immediatly west of the dock.
Marine Railway:
A marine railway is located parallel to the dock, providing a carrier
that is movable out on the rails under water to allow mounting of
a boat, the carrier being moved up over the beach for boat storage.
